I am going to write a quick note today because I have to hop on a bus and go back to Ussurisk. I'm sitting in the mission office right now, it's been a crazy week. We had a great trip to Korea, loved our time in the Temple and went exploring in Seoul. We wanted to see Seoul Tower so we went searching...little did we know that Seoul Tower is built on top of a mountain! It was fun climbing a mountain though, way fun adventure. I was really impressed that we found it. I don't really know what else to write about this week.
We met a cool lady this week. We met her tracting last weekend actually, but started meeting with her during the first few days of the week, before we left for Korea. She is so good and really has a desire to understand the things that we teach her and wants so bad for things to be better in relation to her children and life at home. That is so important. I love it when you can really see that the Lord has led you to where you needed to be for a specific purpose. Of course He wants to bless His children, and He always knows best as to who is in need of spiritual help at any given time. I always am just amazed when I realize the great work that the Lord does, even through weak servants like me. That is one thing that I have really realized lately. I have a long ways to go still to progress and grow into the person and the missionary that I want to be. It's a never ending battle to improve. I guess this week was just one of those that humbled me and helped me to see just how small I really am, and how little I can do on my own. I really need support in order to do anything worthwhile.
I hope the Christmas Devotional was good, maybe I'll get to watch it sometime, that would be sweet. I really am so excited for the Christmas season. We're starting to kick things off and get ready to celebrate and remember the birth of our Lord this year. I have a feeling that this holiday season is going to be a really special one, as I try my hardest to give all that I can to the Lord and help others feel the joy that comes from knowing the great message of His birth. I don't know what could be better. I love being a missionary.
Well I am going to run, I have a lot to do and never enough time. Have a great week and welcome to December!
Love,
Elder Sam Fife
PS HAPPY BIRTHDAY TORI! I hope being a teenager is the best ever! You're all big now, that's crazy!
